Basateen Al Wahat Royal Medjool in the 3 kg pack is for those who like to put something noticeable in front of guests. The fruit is large, the flesh soft, and the sweetness rich with a hint of caramel; it is the kind of date people ask the name of at the table.
How do I serve Medjool?
It looks best on its own on a wide dish with Arabic coffee, because its size and texture are enough to be the centre of the hospitality. Add Saqai or Khalas beside it for guests who prefer a firmer bite.
Storage
- After opening, spread the dates across airtight containers.
- Take one container to serve and store in a cool, dry place.
- Keep the remaining containers in the fridge.
Why 3 kg?
This size lets you serve and give in the same order: a dish for the majlis, and the rest shared out in boxes for relatives, staff or neighbours. It is more economical for someone who buys once for the whole season instead of reordering small quantities.
